 - you had dkms modules installed before the upgrade, but you had not 
configured your system with a machine owner key to use for Secure Boot

upgrader to prompt you about configuration of the MOK.

Also, based on the date stamp of the crash report and the reported date
of your upgrade to bionic, it looks like this is unrelated to the actual

Do you recall manually installing the bbswitch package?  What command do
you use to manage the software packages installed on your system?

Running 'sudo apt -f install' from the commandline should be sufficient
to fix up this installation failure.  It would still help us to have the
answers to the above questions, to understand why you were not shown the
critical debconf prompt.
